As noted before in my previous post, 90s fashion is making a huge comeback with all new releases and revival of iconic 90s trends. Many fashion influencers are embracing this trend by creating effortless looks to the screens of many platforms of social media. The latest trend that has been out there for a bit was the ugly dad sneaker trend. From balenciaga "triple S", reebok classics, or the fila disrupters, the "ugly" sneaker has made itself a staple. With the resurgence of many 90s brands, I have to talk about the revival of the buffalo london sneakers.

Buffalo London (owned by Buffalo Boots GmbH) was founded in 1979 in Hochheim, Germany during the time rave/techno culture was beginning to expand. These popular sneakers were first introduced into the mainstream by the famous girl group, the spice girls. In result, the spice girls helped popularized the brand in the 90s.

Moving forward into 2018, buffalo london made their significant come back, by expanding their audience across the US! (Originally, only available in Europe.)

What made Buffalo Londons unique was its different variations of designs the sneakers were comprised of. Furthermore, how these sneakers were influenced by the underground rave culture. The shoe is comprised of hip and low tops "chunky"platform comprised with a variations of bright colors. its no surprise that this brand is having its revival.

In an article written by Hannah Ongley, Buffalo sneakers are Back in all their fugly 90s glory, she interviewed fashion designer, Patrik Ervell about the influence of the U.K rave scene.

"For me it's this magic moment where subculture and futurism intersect."

With the combinations of futuristic aesthetic of fashion and rave scene during the time in the 90s, it shaped the way of how we look at fashion or how the fashion industry is shaped today.
